Ok, so I starting working out and slowly restricting yesterday. My goal is to workout twice a day until I reach my goal of a 73lb weight loss. But this morning I felt sick during my cardio. All of my energy was gone after just 1 hour. Any suggestions on how to sustain my energy?
i know you want "tricks" and stuff, but i will just talk about food.
contrary to popular believe what you eat right before your workout is NOT energy for body - glucogen stored is, and for that you need to eat carbs around 12 hours before cardio.
For example, on days i run, i normally run at 7pm - on those days i have a fruit of something else with carbs for breakfast around 7-8am.
Post run or any cardio, is important to have eletrolytes back- while sports drink do the trick, i dont like processed things so half a banana and a glass of coconut water.
for strenght training you normally dont need carbs, but if you work circuits, pilates in a more hardcore way, or anything that is targing muscles but could also make you fainty, you might need carbs too 12h before. And this is the moment to have protein after for muscles repair or you will always be hurting and seeing no much results.
So, i do suggest you plan your eating/calories aroud exercices, it will be life changing.
