Do you restrict, exercise, or both?

I eat differently everyday but I try to stay under 200. That doesn't really work though because I usually end up eating more. I don't exercise anymore (apart from walking slowly for a few hours each day) because I get really bad stomach cramps and feel like throwing up. (Couldnt even finish my dance lesson today due to feeling sick).

How about you? How much do you usually restrict to or exercise? Do you do just one or both? Let me know your usual weekly plan :)

In the past I only restricted, but now since I relapsed I am going to start exercising about 4 times a week, and I walk around a lot at school too.

I do both, but the exercise is somewhat involuntary. I have to walk my 16 lb son for hours a day to get him to sleep. I also do some calisthenics once he goes to bed. I have to keep it light or else I get far too dizzy. Plus, my knee is out so running isn't an option anymore.

I pretty much just restrict these days... Although I do get a fair amount of walking in (about 30 miles a week) and try to stay active. I don't count net cals... Only intake...

I mostly just stay in bed and restrict. School is starting back up though so I'll have to start going outside again... <_<

I do both. Yesterday was the first day in forever I actually didn't workout and it felt so great. I am constantly in pain because I workout every day, I wish I didn't have to but I kinda go into panic mode if I go more than one day without it.

I usually do the keto diet with calorie restriction. I eat 300-800 calories per day, varying by day. 70+% is from fat, so not much food content. I like how my stomach never feels full due to calorie denseness of high fat foods. I don't exercise like crazy, just strength training (push ups, weight lifting) and flexibility training. I also walk a lot.

I'm even more of an overexerciser than a restricter. I eat more so that I can exercise. The end result is that my body fat pecentage is low and I'm very toned, but of course I'd weigh less if I just restricted more.

I only restrict because I'm not a fan of exercising in general. Like, I don't even think it's about me being lazy because I never liked sports or moving or even sweating in general since I was young. During physical education classes when I was in primary (elementary) school, I was often called out for running in a weird way and I think that traumatised me. It made me feel as if exercising was a very ugly thing to do and something that'd make people laugh at me for.

So yeah, restricting it is.

I'm not athletic at all (think of bella swan during gym class) and kinda lazy so I hate exercising, always have. I mostly restrict but occasionally I'll go to the gym with my mom and just walk on the treadmill for a bit.

Be careful, you may have osteoporosis or osteopenia.

How tall are you and how much do you weigh?? (If you don't mind me asking). I'm pretty heavy and am losing super slowly :( I used to lose 1 pound a day and now its 2 in 8 days :( (when restricting)
5'4 96lbs...maybe try upping your calories? we are sso terrified of calories, but it's really quite surprising how much your body actually needs in order to gain weight. If I ate any less, I wouldn't have energy for school. I think a pound a day is kind of pushing it, you might be setting ypourself up for disappointment.

I just ate 460 cals and am feeling extremely guilty. I'm going to try up my calories :) under 200 a day is kind of unsustainable anyway and causes me to binge

I'm terrible at restricting, the lowest I can go is 400 consumed per day, and I can only do that for a day or two before I'm a total wreck, so I try to compromise- restrict to less that 600 consumed, and exercise to burn at least 800. I've been able to get 1100 burned the last couple of days, but I'm exhausted and I get the spins pretty bad, I'm not sure how long I can keep that up.

I used to not restrict and just work out for literally 3 hours a say, burn about 1500 or more, but I wasn't so much skinny as I was muscular.I got really sick of being a "fitspiration" when I want to be a "thinspiration" and I want people to say I'm skinny or tiny rather than muscular and strong.

I restrict and stay under 1000 cal and exercise via cardio for at LEAST 90min 4-5 times a week. If I don't exercise frequently, I tend to crave unsfafe foods

ETA: I make exercise such a high priority with weightloss because I want to keep my skin firm and look toned.
